Kelz is re-emerging into the art scene after a long time off. Many years ago, Kelz taught middle school art and was a commission artist. They allowed society’s messaging around art being ‘just a hobby’ to dissuade them from their dreams. Furthermore, a ‘not so good for them’ relationship had them too depressed to create.

During 2022’s Winter Solstice ritual, Kelz set forth their intentions for the upcoming rotation around the sun to simply “DO MORE ART!” They started creating more and, after a while, started their own business called Kelz Liberatory Creations & Consulting (aka Kelz Creates). Their mission is to create a safe space in which folx are powerful and free to experience expansiveness.  Doing more art has brought back such fervor, passion and excitement that Kelz finds themself switching from full time employment in nonprofit/public health to full time entrepreneurship. As a queer, polyamorous, single (parenting), disabled mother- this is scary AF AND it is giving LIFE!

Kelz’s vision is a world in which folx are their full, healed and unapologetic selves. They use their art to help achieve this beautiful vision. Their art is a reflection of themself and this world. Kelz believes that art speaks louder and reasonates deeper than words often can. They speak through their art- sometimes it's their own therapy, sometimes it's a statement on a social justice issue and/or against systems of oppression.
